Dr. Mayme Hostetter is the President of Hamline University--the first university in the state of Minnesota, with a 170-year commitment to access and excellence. Hamline is MN's #1 regional institution, known locally for its outstanding teachers and leaders across many fields. Prior to leading at Hamline, Mayme led the Relay Graduate School of Education, where she was part of the founding team dedicated to preparing thousands of outstanding educators across the country. Prior to her work at Relay, Mayme conducted reading development research at MIT, after teaching English and coaching many sports at Deerfield Academy and KIPP Academy. Mayme is a Presidential Leadership Scholar, and she earned her A.B. and her Ed.M. from Harvard and her Ed.D. from Columbia.
